The "What's Your Budget?" Question

Is it just me, or don't you get annoyed at the "What's Your Budget?" question that sales people ask?

Asking Myself: Did I Get a Good Deal?

If someone asks me what my budget is, I automatically assume what they are selling is expensive, because basically they are asking if I can afford their service or are willing to pay a high price or simply want to know how much money they can get out of me.

I understand why they ask that, but I always feel screwed in the end, because I know if I say that my budget is $150, they will try to sell me a $200 server even if all I really needed was one of their $99 specials.
