How to Import Email Addresses and Forwarders in cPanel

Address Importer IconIf you have a lot of emails accounts to setup, cPanel makes it easier with their import feature.  This allows you to create multiple email accounts and/or email forwarders at one time.

Step by Step Directions

  1. Login to cPanel.
  2. Click on Address Importer in the Email section.
    • In some themes, it will be the Import Addresses / Forwarders icon in the Mail section instead.
  3. Click the Need help setting up a CVS or Excel file for importing? link.
    • This will show you how to format your CSV or Excel files, and even provides samples files you can modify.
    • You can skip this step if you already have a properly formated file to import.
  4. Prepare the File as described.
  5. Choose whether you want to import Email Accounts or Forwarders.
  6. Click on the Choose File button
  7. Select the file you wish to upload and then click Open.
  8. Select your delimiter, and whether to treat the first row as a column heading.
  9. A sample of your data will appear.  Ensure each column has the correct header.
  10. Click Next when ready.
  11. Make sure everything looks good.
  12. Click the Finish button.
